What is a Cleanroom?

A cleanroom is a controlled environment that’s function is to prevent a process from contamination in the form of dust and airborne microbes. The level of cleanliness is determined by the number of airborne particles larger than 0.5um, that are present per cubic metre of air, as well as the total number of complete air changes achieved per hour. This is classified as per ISO 14644-2 standards and can be seen below

How can a Cleanroom be used?

Typically used in manufacturing or scientific research, a cleanroom can be used for the production or repair of electronic devices, such as mobile phones and laptops, where dust particles can damage or effect performance of components.
