Clean Room Filter Units
Monmouth Scientific’s range of Clean Air and Air Filtration Systems can be used for a variety of applications including the removal of chemical fumes and particulate impurities from the environment.
The clean air systems can be fitted with a variety of types of activated carbon filters to remove different chemical fumes or noxious smells, alternatively, they can be fitted with a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filters for particulate and bacteria removal.
HEPA FILTRATION: It is known that air is a major transporter for different impurities such as mould spores, Aspergillus & TBC (due to the vaporizing of cytostatic products), and many other infectious bacteria, in addition to dust, smoke etc. The Room Air Cleaners help to achieve the objective of decreasing or even eliminating the risk of hospital acquired infections through airborne contamination as they are equipped with the best available HEPA filters. They can be used in a huge variety of areas including Bio-labs, Operating Theatres and all hospital departments having Immuno-compromised patients such as burn units, neonates, dialysis and oncology – Increasingly, they are also being used in Pharmacies and micro-electronic areas.
Floor Mounted Air Filtration
The new CAM-F1500 floor mounted air filtration system involves no installation whatsoever. The units are just wheeled into the required area, sit on the floor and run from a standard 13amp mains socket. These units can be utilised to improve the air quality in virtually any situation, thus reducing airbourne contamination.
The unit is fitted with a speed controller which controls the fan power from 0 to 100%. At 100% capacity the unit will filter up to 1500m3 of air per hour through an H13 or H14 HEPA filter rated at 99.997% efficient at 0.3microns.
At full capacity, the CAM-F1500 will provide up to 20 air changes per hour in a room measuring 10m x 6m x 2.4m tall. For larger areas or areas requiring more air changes per hour, multiple units can be employed.
The large capacity unit stands at 970mm tall, 750mm wide and 660mm deep and has an airflow velocity of 0.75m/sec at maximum speed.
Wall Mounted Air Filtration
The wall mounted air filtration systems are available in two sizes, 400m3 per hour or 900m3 per hour. Ideally, they should be sized to ensure at least 10 to 20 air changes of air per hour are achieved.
In order to give a positive pressure into an environment, they need to be mounted on the wall of a room adjacent to the room requiring clean air. They will then pump air from the adjacent room before cleaning it through the HEPA filter to ensure a clean positive pressure environment.
In order to create a negative pressure in an environment, they need to be mounted inside the room requiring to be kept under negative pressure. The air is then sucked from this room, filtered through HEPA filters and then expelled through the outlet of the system to another room or the outside.
Ceiling Mounted Air Filtration
The CAM2250T2 Ceiling Mounted Clean Air Module provides up to 2250m2 of clean HEPA filtered air per hour. It is designed to sit through a cut out measuring 970mm x 970mm in your ceiling. It will then draw air from above the ceiling and create a positive pressure using HEPA filtered air into the room below. The CAM2250T2 will be controled by a wired remote control to ensure ease of use. In addition, room lighting can be controlled from the same control panel. The system is also fitted with a low airflow alarm to alert the user to any maintenance requirements.
This system will give clean air in the room to ISO Class 5 (Class 100) but this does depend upon the size of your room, the configuration and number of CAM2250T2’s that are fitted. For free advice, please call 01278 458090.
For larger areas, any number of CAM2250’s can be linked together via a standard RJ45 cable link to operate from one control panel.
